Amr Atia grew up in the astonishing beauty of Egypt’s diverse and ancient capitol Cairo where as a young man he became drawn to the pockets of communities dedicating their time towards something that was an anomaly in the country at the time, electronic music. First finding his place in the small yet thriving tech-house scene AMR soon advanced towards Techno and his creative ambitions became realised as he found his way towards the decks spending his formative years working on his style of blending music and developing the mixing style heard in his releases today. Having achieved national recognition in Egypt with a steady stream of gigs and festivals he left home for Ireland 6 years ago and has kept up his passion since, moving into production in the last few years. Amr’s work is a constant propulsion of resounding beats and a no-letting-up pace that tries the stamina of any dance floor daring to keep up with him.
